This large bisque piano baby was manufactured in Germany circa the late 19th or early 20th century. The little girl has molded and painted facial features and hair included intaglio eyes and an open/closed mouth with molded teeth. She wears a dress with painted flower decorations and a large bonnet with a blue bow. The dress is decorated with a lace collar and tiny gold metallic painted beads. The tan bow trimmed one strap shoes also have some metallic paint decoration. The figurine is quite detailed with lovely artistic painting. She is not marked as to maker but is definitely German. She is not a Gebruder Heubach piano baby but does exhibit the same quality of manufacture. The piano baby is in good condition no chips or cracks but one repair to the ruffle on the left side of the bonnet.
