This 15 inch tall doll, circa 1900-1914, was manufactured in Germany for the French market. She has a closed mouth with blue glass set eyes and a solid dome wooden head. The doll has a metal spring strung ball jointed wooden body. She wears a white cotton dress (possibly factory and original) with trim and a partial red identifying ribbon at the neck. The shoes and socks are replacements. The blonde curly mohair wig is also a replacement. The doll has no repaint or repair but is some paint and finish wear on the body. I believe my pictures show this. She also has an old crack on the top of her head that has been there for many years. These wooden dolls are not often seen especially without more wear to the face or repainting of the features. If you love the unusual and unique, this is a doll for your collection. This Bebe Tout en Bois has been in my collection for several years.
