This 8 ¼ inches long all bisque piano baby was manufactured, circa the late 19th to the early 20th century, in Germany by the Gebruder Heubach firm. The darling baby is 5 ½ inches tall and 4 ½ inches wide. The all bisque figurine has molded and painted facial features with blue intaglio eyes, a closed mouth with little cheek dimples. The baby has molded hair and a molded white gown with a green ribbon. He/She is incised with the Gebruder Heubach sunburst mark. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a minor stress firing line at the left underarm. This would have occurred when the doll was manufactured and is not later damage. I love this piano baby in the larger size as the wonderful Heubach facial modeling and chubby body is most exquisitely delineated.
