This 15 inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, has a 4 inch bisque shoulder head manufactured in Germany by Gebruder Heubach. The doll has blue glass set eyes, a closed pouty mouth, and a brunette mohair wig. The back of the shoulder plate is incised with the Heubach sunburst mark, the number three, “Germany,” and mold number 7845. The head itself is in good condition but the front of the shoulder plate and neck has been repaired. The antique white leather body has bisque lower arms with some slight chipping to the fingers. The body is sturdy but does have some old holes and a tear in the leather on the upper left arm. I love the face on this sweet character doll. There are some condition issues but I have priced the Heubach child to reflect this. The doll could be dressed by the new owner as either a boy or girl.
