This 3 inch tall all bisque doll was manufactured for Amberg in Germany. The Louis Amberg & Sons company was based in the United States and manufactured a composition version of Mibs but this all bisque version of Mibs was manufactured in Germany for them in 1921. The little character doll has molded blonde hair with molded and painted facial features, shoes, and socks. She is jointed at the shoulders with legs molded to the body. The back is incised, “C.//L.A. and S. 192//Germany.” The doll is in excellent condition except for a small flake on the top of the right hand over the thumb and index finger. There is also a small hole under the left arm that would have occurred in the initial firing of the little girl and is not later damage. This is a rare, difficult to find, all bisque character doll.
