This 12 inch tall doll, circa the late 19th century, was manufactured in France and sold in street stalls at fairs and bazaars. The doll is papier mache with the original molded facial features, painted baby bonnet, red trimmed costume, and black one strap shoes. The doll has a swivel neck and jointed arms. It is amazing that one of these originally inexpensive dolls has been preserved in such pristine condition.
