This 8 inch tall baby, circa the early 20th century, was manufactured in Germany by the Recknagel Porcelain Factory. The doll has a bisque socket head and a five piece composition body. The head has an intaglio painted eyes and an open/closed mouth with a molded tongue and two upper teeth. The doll also has a molded and painted bonnet and blue molded ribbon and bows. The head is incised, “R.A.//22-12/0” and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The baby wears a white knit one piece outfit. He would be an excellent tiny doll for a larger doll to hold.
