This 21 inch tall doll, circa the 1870s, has a 7 inch tall bisque shoulder head. The head, created by the German firm of Alt, Beck & Gottschalck, has blonde molded hair with a blue painted bow decoration. She has blue painted eyes and a closed mouth. The cloth body, jointed at the shoulders and hips, is jointed at the shoulders, hips, and knees. I believe the body is probably original but has been recovered on the torso and legs.
