This 11 inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, has a composition flange neck head with composition hands and the original cloth body jointed at the shoulders and hips. The doll was designed by Helen Trowbridge based on the drawings of Grace Drayton’s Dolly Dingle drawings. The doll is in good condition with some repaint. She has molded and painted facial features and hair with side glancing eyes. The little cutie wears vintage clothing with some age discoloration and a few small holes. It is quite difficult to find these dolls especially the black ones.
