This 26 inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century was manufactured in Paris, France, by SFBJ. The 252 pouty mold is always wonderful but this particular doll has especially deep modeling that completely reflects a toddler that is just not in the least happy. The doll has a bisque socket head with blue glass set eyes and a closed pouty mouth. She retains her original cardboard pate with a brunette human hair wig. The original chunky toddler body has the original finish with the SFBJ paper decal on the back. The head is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a very small firing flaw on the lower rim of the left eye cut. I have taken a close up photo but it is barely visible in person. The back of the head is incised, "S.F.B.J//252//Paris//11."The composition body has some typical flaking of the paint layer. This little girl with the big attitude wears her lace dress with matching bonnet and panties. She also has white cloth shoes and knit socks.
