This little pair of perfume flasks, circa the 1920s, was just too cute to pass up. Their humorous expressions remind me of the German googly eye dolls. Both of have stamped "Germany" on the base but the stamp is almost worn off of the girl face flasks. They were created by the Hertwig firm that is known for china and bisque head dolls of the same period. The boy is 1 ¾ inches by 1 ¾ inches and the girl is 1 ½ inches by 1 ¾ inches. They both have molded and painted facial features. The girl has a ruffled collar. I think these little miniatures would be darling displayed with any googly collection. The girl is in excellent condition. The boy has an old faint hairline on the back.
