Don't be put off by the price reduction on this lovely doll. It is no reflection on her, rather a need for funds for a buying trip in Europe that begins soon. Some of my other Frenc darlings are also reduced.
This lovely lady has a perfect pale pressed bisque head and brilliant cobalt blue paperweight eyes with exquisite bisque face and painting. She has a gentle, satisfied expression from a unique mold. She has beautifully modeled bisque arms and a perfect shoulder plate. Her body is well-made leather without damage. She wears her original hand-tied blonde wig with long curls in the back, which sits on a cork pate. She is wearing her original champagne silk 2 piece gown, trimmed in lace with a full train. The silk of the bodice is melting, but still excellent for display. She has earrings, wears a watch and like good French ladies of her time she is holding an antique rosary. Antique brown leather boots complete her ensemble. Unmarked - although I did not remove her tightly fitting jacket to search the shoulder-plate. Circa 1870 by unknown French maker.
