Vintage 1940's pre-eagle modernist Mexican sterling silver pin by BETO. I can't quite figure out what it is. A goblet? An open-mouth fish? I will let you decide. I do know it IS a fabulous brooch! It is fully signed and hallmarked, Beto, 925 Taxco, Sterling Hecho en Mexico. It sports an amethyst cabochon, too.
It is missing the locking mechanism on the clasp (an easy fix by a jeweler) but will hold securely without it. Otherwise excellent condition.
It measures 2.75 x 1 1/8 inches.
An eclectic mix, from Victorian to Mexican silver to rhinestones. You can never have enough jewelry!
