A truly beautiful antique brooch with an enameled dome in the middle decorated with four coral cabochons and 5 small mine cut diamonds. It dates 1860-1870. The brooch has beautiful beaded designs and the back is meant to hold the portrait of a loved one. The pin measures just over 1 3/4' across (1 9/16") and it is 3/4" high. As expected it is not marked but it was tested and it is guaranteed to be at least 14 kt (could be 15K). It weights 11.8 grams without the back picture holder which is not gold. The gold has an intense yellow color and the "Sevres Blue" enamel makes for an eye catching combination. In excellent condition for the age, with some minor superficial scratches. Coral cabochons and diamonds are original, no repairs or damage to the enamel.
