I don't know about you, but I have always tended to think of ocean Jasper necklaces as big and chunky. Therefore the components I found for this necklace came as a surprise. The pendant, which is set in a substantial amount of Sterling silver is only 1-1/4 inches long. Knowing that, you can judge the sizes of the other pieces, which include barrel beads and rondelles. The sparkly little spacers are 3mm Sterling silver round beads, which I love to use to enable the necklace to drape nicely.
The necklace is approximately 21 inches around and fastens with a pretty hook clasp designed as leaves and made of silver-plated brass.
Nearly everyone selling ocean Jasper these days refers to it as rare. Maybe that's why they're making the beads so tiny? Whatever the reason, it is most attractive and has always been one of my favorite stones. I hope you like it, too.
