This delicious necklace was lovingly created of Sleeping Beauty turquoise free-form ovals measuring on average 10x14mm. Respect for the stone demanded healthy-sized spacers which would enhance without overshadowing the turquoise. After a minimum of trial and error I settled on 7mm silver-filled round beads, which proudly and humbly accepted their role. Further adding to the overall look of the necklace are two selections from the Hill Tribe silversmiths of upcountry Thailand: a lovely sterling silver rose measuring 1-1/2 inches and a hammered sterling silver S-clasp.
The turquoise is probably stabilized and possibly dyed. Neither process detracts from its beauty.
