This beautiful pendant necklace is identified as green agate because (a) the seller of the pendant could not identify the stone and (b) the seller of the matching beads called them Nephrite jade, but because of the price, I wasn't sure they were jade. How's that for a convoluted description? I am more impressed with the beauty of a piece than I am with the authenticity (or lack thereof) of its components, within reason, of course.
The necklace is approximately 22 inches around, and the pendant 1-5/8 by 1-1/4 inches. Closure is via a handsome hook clasp of sterling silver plate over white bronze.
