This necklace is based on the Fibonacci sequence of numbers (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, etc.). It features a brass lizard pendant from Kathmandu which is strung with 10mm red resin round beads and brass beads in a variety of sizes and shapes. The necklace is 21-1/4 inches around and closes with a brass hook clasp.
Leonardo Fibonacci preceded Leonardo da Vinci by some five hundred years. A monastic soul, he loved nothing better than taking solitary walks through the woods and fields near his home. During his peregrinations, he began taking note of the number and spacing of leaves on various plants--an occupation which led eventually to the numerical sequence which would bear his name for all time.
