This very pretty necklace sports a most unusual pendant: an actual kale leaf that has been dipped in 24K gold. And while kale is one of the best foods you can eat, I cannot say that wearing it will have a healthy effect on your body, except for the natural glow that comes with knowing you look really good. The necklace is comprised of 10mm azurite beads, separated by 22K gold vermeil spacers. The necklace is 20-1/2 inches around, including the 18K vermeil and Sterling silver hook clasp.
Ruby Lane likes for us to show the back sides of the pendants we sell, so I dutifully took a shot of that as well as of the front side. Can you tell which photo is which?
Sometime during this week I listened to a fascinating interview with a Brooklyn plumber who had had a near-death experience, during which he was given several revelations. When he started talking about having a healthy diet, he mentioned kale as one of the top energy foods and gave a percentage figure for it. I have Googled until I am blue in the face, but I cannot find that figure anywhere, and it is so disappointing, because I wanted to add it to this description just for the fun of it.
What I do remember about the interview is his asking, when he was about to receive the revelations, "Why me?" The answer he received is "Why not you?" Think about it. It's actually rather profound.
Thank you for coming to my shop. I have enjoyed our visit tremendously.
