This charming handcrafted porringer and spoon set was specifically created by the United States Historical Society to accompany Baby Stuart, the UFDC convention doll of 1996. Crafted in the style of the 17th century, Baby Stuart, born in 1633, would have likely ben fed using such a bowl. The artistic handle is ad adaptation of a typical English porringer of the period. The porringer measures 7/8" in diameter and the spoon is 1=3/16" long. The porringer set remains sealed in plastic. I am assuming the metal is pewter, since there is no notation on the box nor on the pamphlet as to the metallic substance of the set.
