This is a vintage child's or doll's oval shaped white glazed porcelain soup tureen attached to an oval platter. It has suffered some damage over the years. The lid has a small chip the size of a pinky fingernail which has been filled in with white unglazed mending agent, and the platter has a thumbnail size chip filled in with the same material. The platter has an iron oxide speck. The lid removes from the tureen, and the underside lip on the rim has a tiny chip. This was part of Mom's collection of antique and vintage children's and doll's china ware. I would date this from the early 1/2 of the 20th century. There is a signature or maker's mark on the bottom, which I've tried to show in the photos. The platter measures 6" X 3-1/2"; the tureen measures 4-1/2" (from handle to handle) x 2-1/2", and measures 3-3/4" high The tureen has a 2oz. capacity.
