This lovely 2 piece outfit belongs to an antique 20" Bru Jne 7 on Chevrot body. The hat shown in the first photo is not included. This outfit is over 100 years old, dating from the late 19th century. It consists of a Silk brocade bodice which closes in front with 3 hook and threadloop closures, aqua silk piping on the seams, with lace trim at the neckline and cuffs. It measures 5-1/2" across the shoulders, 12" around the chest, 11" around the waist, and 14" around the bottom edge of the jacket. The jacket is fully lined with aqua polished cotton. the bodice's neckline is nicely rounded to show off a Bru Jne's gorgeous shoulder plate. The armhole opening is 4" around the sleeve opening is 3" around. The jacket is 6" long. The gathered skirt is made from aqua polished cotton which has faded, and the skirt is covered with three rows of silk lace flounce. The lace has some minor melting, and also needs to be reattached to the skirt where the hand sewn threads have come loose. The waist measures 9-1/8", and the skirt is 9" long. There is a pleated tarlatan dust ruffle with lace trim on the underside of the skirt. The total outfit length is 13", a perfect length for a young lady doll.
