These earrings are very sweet with blue scenes of windmills painted on a white background. Delft is well know for these scenes among others including ships. The round ceramic cabs are bezel set inside a silver frame and adorned with a rope design around the edge. They are beautifully painted and each is marked Delft on the back.
They measure 5/8" in diameter. They re each singed on the screw back wires with the Dutch mark used in the Netherlands beginning in 1906 and consists of a sword. The sword was used on pieces that were too small for the full hallmark. Inside the sword is the number 835. This indicates that the screw backs are made of 835/1000 parts of silver which is slightly less than our 925/1000 indicating sterling. The earrings are in great condition!
