I just love to look at this brooch. I know many of us have thought how wonderful if each piece we have could have a little history page attached to it. How fun it would be know who owned a piece and where it's been. This Victorian brooch with an open C clasp, has a nice large prong set rose cut rhinestone or glass stone in the center. It is flanked by two marquise cut prong set bluish colored glass stones on either side with an interestingly different cut on them as well. The tops of those two stones are pointed instead of having a flat table - different. The gold toned metal is bright and more of a rose gold color. It is embellished with a dotted pattern around all the edges. It is very different and very pretty.
It measures just shy of 2 14" wide and 7/8" high. It is unsigned and in very good condition. The silver foil has some issues under the stones but, somehow, does not seem to detract.
