Vintage Huge 1940s India Pice Coins and Beads Expansion Charm Bracelet - LOADED - WOW!
With a tribal flair, this stunner of a jingly bracelet is not for the faint of heart! Not for the weak wrist either. It consists of a bright silver toned expansion bracelet on which there are a multitude of dangling charms including 14 British India Pice washer shaped coins with holes in the middle that are dated either 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1947. This coin was minted for only five years and I don't think there were any dated 1946 or , at least, I couldn't find one. The other charms include clear and white glass beads in assorted shapes, clear crystal beads, metal disks with hearts and flowers stamped on them, along with an assortment of shapes in metal. It appears that the coins and the metal parts were once either silver plated or silver painted and some of that finish has now worn off so that the color is now a mellow warm pewter color. See photos.
The bracelet stretches quite a bit so I will say it fits most. When held up, the charms hang 2" down from the top edge of the expansion bracelet. It has a great sound and jingles with the slightest movement. It is an attention grabber and quite a conversation piece. It weighs 7.7 ounces on my postal scale. It is in great condition.
