These earrings are pre-eagle mark so that they were made in 1948 or prior. The handsome addition of copper fish embedded in a crushed stone design are nicely framed in a free form sterling silver frame making the design rather modernistic in nature.
The earrings are 1' wide and 3/4" high. They are each clearly marked HECHO EN MEXICO 925 in a circle with a conjoined JH in the center. It seems that this mark was later also used with the Taxco Eagle 3 stamp. The eagle stamp does not appear on them as they were made prior to the requirement of the eagle stamp. They are in fine condition and I have not touched the patina.
