Waving maracas decorated with bright blue turquoise stones while they dance, these two are having a great time - and captured in sterling silver for us. Actually the old SILVER MEXICO mark and the SILVER MADE IN MEXICO mark found on each of these pins, was used in Mexico from the 1920s through the mid 1940s. The purity for the silver used at that time was typically better than .925 which is considered sterling. So, the silver is purer that our own sterling.
These Spanish dancer pins were well loved as the designs have worn down some but much detail is still alive and well. He measures a bit over 2" high and she is a bit over 1 3/4" high. The safety clasps work well. Please see photo for specific placement and marks for these great Mexican artisan pins.
