Vintage Old Pot Metal Art Deco Fan Shaped Pin Brooch ~ Clear Rhinestones ~ Open C Clasp
Left over metal was melted in a pot, called pot metal, and used for jewelry molds. There was no standard mixture of metals, just whatever was on hand, hence the grayish color and the descriptive name used for it. Interestingly, the grayish color with still sparkly clear rhinestones, possibly crystals, make this old 1920s Art Deco fan shaped brooch very attractive and wearable still.
The pin measures 1 1/4" high and a bit under that in width. It has an open C clasp that works well. It is in very good condition with some wear to the back that cannot be seen when worn.
