Vintage and Gorgeous signed Judy Lee Parure ~ Light Amethyst Rhinestones in Antiqued Style Silver Toned ~ Pendant/Brooch, Ring, Clip Earrings
Judy Lee Jewels made some of the most innovative jewelry with attention to design and execution and is evident in the longevity and variety of vintage pieces available.
This parure is outstanding and antiqued to look much older. It is probably from the 1950s. It consists of a silver toned chain, all dog tooth prong-set rhinestones, a pendant with a bale that also has a safety clasp so that it can be worn as a brooch, as well as clip earrings and, last but certainly not least, an adjustable cocktail ring. The set is a perfect match and the amethyst colored glass rhinestones sparkle among the antiqued silver petaled flower shaped cups. It is a stunning set. It comes in it's original box as well.
On the card to which the earrings and necklace/brooch are attached, the following words are printed:
WEAR IT AS A NECKLACE
WEAR IT AS A PIN
Judy-Lee Jewels Division of Blan-chette, Inc. Chicago
World's Most Beautiful Jewelry MADE IN U.S.A.
The chain measures 24" long. The pendant is just shy of 1 3/4" in diameter and 1" high high from the pin back. The cocktail ring is 1 1/2" high and a bit over 1" wide so it is an attention getter. It is adjustable and is set at a size 8 now. It can go up in size a bit and can definitely go smaller. The earrings are 2 1/8" long and the largest floral cup is 7/8" in diameter.
The pendant and earrings are signed. I thought the ring was also signed, but I don't see it. In any case, it is a wonderfully matched set. The ring band is embellished with a little flower design all around. The condition is excellent for the pendant, chain and earrings and very good for the ring. There is very minor plate loss on the underside of the band. The chain is brighter silver tone and appears to have been worn less than the other pieces. The box is in good condition with some wear to the edges. The card inside is in fairly good condition as well with some tears to the very center where the pin has been removed and reattached.
