This hand-crafted Zealandia brooch features a simple tribal style figure of faux tortoise shell or seashell in a door or frame. The figure has sterling star appliques and a spiral heart applique. An open eye cut-out tops the frame.
The slightly domed brooch measures 2 9/16" high and 1 9/16" across the arms. All the appliques are attached via silver posts into the body of the figure. Zealandia uses sterling and natural materials. This looks like tortoise shell and has a purple tint when held to a light.
The pin stem secures with a safety clasp. "Zealandia 925" is stamped on the back.Condition is very fine. Zealandia jewelry is made in Bali by experienced craftspeople inspired by nature and spiritual themes.
