This Victorian gold-filled oval pin can worn as a brooch alone or with a pocket watch as a set, or as a or a pendant with the addition of a chain or ribbon.
The pin measures 1 1 /4" wide, 7/8" high and 3/8" thick (not including watch hook). There is an indented center channel; above and below are feathery scrolls engraved into the domed surfaces.
The pin stem has a tube hinge and a safety roller clasp. I believe this was added later and the original watch pin dates to the late 19th century. The hook which holds a watch can be used as a pendant bail, too. On the back plate of the brooch is engraved "L C".
Condition is very fine, only the tiniest bit of wear to the surface in a few small spots and a short scratch in the center channel.
