This intricately hand-crafted 1960's Sorrento sterling vermeil (gold over silver) brooch pin features two carved flowers on elaborate wire-work leaves.
The pin is 2 1/4" high and 1 3/4" wide. The flowers are made of a hard natural ivory colored material. The fancy leaves with gold ball accents are hand-curled from twisted wire.
The round tag on the back is signed "Sorrento Sterling". Vicent Sorrentino was the man who created the label and who also started the Uncas Mfgr. Company in 1911.
Condition is very fine, only a little dark spot on the reverse edge of one leaf. The pin secures with a safety clasp.
