This vintage necklace of sterling silver filigree teardrops frames your face in a lacy, precious metal collar.
The length is 17 3/4" and each pendant is 7/8" long. A close look will amaze you as you realize each pendant and link was hand-formed. Even the layered rings which join each round link in the front section together were hand-coiled.
A spring-ring clasp secures the necklace. On the last pendant is an applied plaque marked "925" for sterling silver.
This type of demanding silver filigree wire work is traditionally done in Western Europe, notably Portugal and Italy, as well as the Middle East. Artists in Israel have been known for a long history of creating such beautiful filigree jewelry.
