This mid-century lapel or kilt sterling silver pin was designed Hamish Dawson-Bowman and has an Arts & Crafts style Celtic Rose within a squared shield at the top of the brooch's long stem.
Length is 2 5/8" and width is 5/8". On the back is a small hallmark, which I believe is an early CAI hallmark along with "STERLING SCOTLAND" and in a separate oval stamp below is "DB". The pin stem has a T-bar hinge and the closure is a safety clasp.
Dawson-Bowman founded the Celtic Arts Institute in 1945 and was the designer of this piece for CAI. Condition is very fine.
