This vintage 1980's Napier collar necklace is made of heavily gold plated chain with two borders of rope sandwiching a row of simulated cream, half-body faux pearls.
The necklace is and 3/4" wide. It is supple yet has good weight--this is the kind of quality we associate with the bolder costume pieces by fine jewelry makers in the 1980s.
The fold-over clasp is marked "Napier, Pat. 4,774,743." Condition is unworn and very fine. The necklace has good heft (about 5 ounces) and an impressive look--you might be tempted to wear with the reverse side out!
