This mid 20th century pendant from Guadalajara, Mexico, is made of sterling silver with turquoise inlay around an engraved floral motif.
The pendant's diameter is 2"--a quite noticeable size-- and it is polished silver on the back. The front rim is engraved with a serpentine, hand-tooled design.
The vining floral central design has bright-cut accents on the stem and full leaves and stylized blossom at the bottom.
The bail is stamped with a circular mark containing: 925, Guadalajara, Mex., JJL. It will accommodate a chain, cord, or strand of beads up to 4mm in diameter.
The fancy pinched link sterling necklace chain is 24" long and has a fold-over clasp stamped "Sterling." It can be worn alone or with other pendants.
Condition of both pieces is very fine and all turquoise pieces are stable.
