This 1970s vintage Hobe' pendant is made from a large piece of tiger's eye quartz carved in a ribbed oval hoop shape. It is topped with gold-plated leaf, two opals and sprays set with rhinestones simulating gemstones.
The pendant is 1 3/8" high (not including hanging loop), 1" wide and 3/8" thick. The rhinestones are peridot green, ruby red, and emerald green. The double rolo-link necklace is 20" long with an unusual clasp that you open by pulling the end ring towards the center--quite secure! It is marked "Hobe" on one side and "Patent 3427691" on the other.
The pendant has an Asian feeling (or Oriental, as was the name for this popular style in the period) and is in very fine condition.
