This 1994 set issued by the New York Museum of Modern Art captures an architectural detail of a classic Frank Lloyd Wright design in a brooch pin and matching clip earrings.
The gold-plated pieces have cast, geometric patterns of bars, rectangles, a telescoping corner and two curved-edge panels in the center. The high spots have a satin gold, soft luster finish while the lower areas have a textured, concrete type finish.
The pin measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/4" by 1/4" and has a safety clasp. On the plaque is "The Museum of Modern Art, FLWRIGHT Fdn1994".
The earrings measure 1 5/16" high by a little more than 7/8" wide by 3/16". The clips come with cushion slide-on tops. These were actually made from two layered pieces, carefully riveted, as you can see on the reverse.
The set is in very fine condition.
