This fabulously chic 1950's Ciner articulated bangle is made of 40 gold-plated zigzag links strung on two strands of cable and enameled in vivid red-orange and golden yellow.
The background of the enamel cells are patterned with parallel lines so this could be considered a modern take on guilloche' enamel which is finely ground glass powder fired onto a patterned base. The domed links are 9/16" wide. The length of the bracelet when flat is a bit over 7"; inner circumference is 6 3/8" when clasped.
The box clasp is secure but for extra safety there is a chain with spring-ring clasp; it is fixed at the opposite end with a dainty hook!
The back of the box clasp is stamped "CINER" and there is no copyright symbol indicating it was made before 1955.
Condition is very fine with no missing enamel and only a tiny bit of wear on the back of the clasp. Since the enamel is glass and the sturdy links are solid the weight is evident, total weight is approximately 76 grams.
Ciner has a reputation for fine quality costume (they started as fine jewelry makers in 1892. This is a dazzler!
