The subtle metallic sheen of thousands of seed beads swinging in the three fat tassels of this 1930's vintage brooch pin will captivate you. This luxurious brooch measures 3 3/8" high and 1 5/8" across the bar (wider across the base of the tassels).
The beads are old European in a size no longer made—1 mm each! They shade from mocha to bronze to soft golden rose—under a loupe, you can see the metallic finish on the beads, patinated by time.
The bar pin has three swivel hook attachments for the tassels; each one's center ring is designed to rotate front and back, one is slightly rigid but all the tassels hanging rings swing freely. Each tassel has 8 twisted strands with thousands of beads--one tassel could stand as a pendant on its own.
The pin shaft secures with a safety clasp. This circa 1935 brooch is in wonderful condition and it's a very elegant form you'll not likely come upon again soon.
