This vintage pendant has a 14K yellow gold tulip-form cap over a glass globe which holds genuine opal chips in a thick liquid.
The pendant is 1 1/8" high and 9/16" in diameter. The opal pieces reflect vivid tones of aqua, lime green, fuchsia and coral against white. The cap is not marked but has been jeweler-tested and is 14K in purity. The jump ring bail is soldered closed.
Total weight of the pendant is 5.5 grams--this is more substantial than most floating opal pendants online. The sturdy 18" long gold-filled rope chain has a spring-ring clasp stamped "1/20.14K.GF". Condition of both pieces is excellent.
The pendant will be shipped by Priority mail with signature required; ID may be necessary.
I have a pair of floating opal earrings with the same 14K caps in a separate listing in my shop.
