MOVING SALE!!! We have finally moved. I am now back to unpacking my Mother's doll collection. I am nearing the "end of the line" doll wise, and honestly, these have been packed and in storage for nearly 20 years. She collected what she grew up with (she passed away a few years ago at the age of 90). Mostly compos, but also a few bisque. She loved Shirley Temple, Effanbee, and Alexander, and babies. Some are excellent, while others are "projects." She bought what she could afford, sometimes keeping dolls on layaway for a year! That being said, here I go...

Excellent (NOT MINT, read on). Boy, how my Mother loved Shirley Temple! Early 1934-35 Ideal composition 18 inch Shirley Temple. Marked on head, "18 Shirley Temple COP Ideal N & T Co." Marked on her back, "Shirley Temple." Stringing is a tad tight. Great coloring, nice even flesh tone. The compo has very faint hairline crazing on arms and face, but overall still excellent. Some wear in the joint sockets (paint rubs). Original painted facial features have a little wear (some missing lip color, a bit of one brow has rubbed away, faint painted lower lashes). Looks like my Mom added some "dolly blush" to her cheeks. Has her teeth and tongue. The eyes have slight crazing to the pupils, irises and whites are excellent. Open and close with ease. All her human hair lashes. The mohair wig is nice and full. Needs a bit of styling, but still has many of the original curls. She is wearing her original onesie slip/pantie combo, has a few tiny holes and mend on the chest. Her dress looks like the "Bright Eyes" plaid. It is vintage and factory made, but slightly different than the one in the books. Dress is excellent. I did add the red ribbon at the neck. She is wearing vintage rayon socks and oilcloth shoes, both are excellent. Excellent early compo Shirley!!!

Attention International Buyers: Any order or combined order of $25 or more will only ship either Express or Priority (orders under $25 can ship first class). These services are pricey, so be sure to contact me for quote before buying. Thank you.
