Vintage Antique Half Doll Pin Cushion Related Porcelain Perfume Bottle German
ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN PIN CUSHION DOLL RELATED
PERFUME BOTTLE WITH GLASS DABBER
7 INCHES TALL
PART OF A SET OF THREE
MOVING SALE!!!! Downsizing big time!!! My Mother collected antiques for years. She passed away a few years ago at the age of 90. Back then, there was no internet, so she collected at local antique shows (remember those), and through "The Antique Trader" newspaper and other magazines.
She corresponded with various dealers for many years through the mail. Several of her "dealer friends" went on to publish reference books. Some of these half dolls, bathing beauties, and perfume figurals were purchased from Norma Werner and Frieda Marion, the authors of "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Half Dolls."
I am selling most of the collection, only keeping my absolute favorites. My loss is your gain!!! I am not an expert on these items. I will try my best to give a good description to the best of my knowledge. So here goes...
Near Mint condition. This is part of a set of three. I am selling each piece separately. Vintage German porcelain pin cushion doll related. Perfume bottle. Early 20th century. 7 inches tall. Fabulous detail, hand painted. Madame Pompadour. Satin gloss finish. Yellow dress. Waist uncorks to reveal perfect glass wand dabber. Stamped on the base, "Bavaria." No damage, minor wear. Pictured on page 18, "Dresser Dolls," by Marion and Werner. The other bottle and powder jar are also listed separately. I do combine shipping.
Attention International Buyers: Any order or combined order of $25 or more will only ship either Express or Priority (orders under $25 can ship first class). These services are pricey, so be sure to contact me for quote before buying. Thank you.
