Classic blue sapphire and diamond ring has plenty of presence on the hand. Cocktail style ring is fashioned in 14k yellow gold. The ring features a center diamond stone with genuine sapphires surrounding it. Open cut center mount is further accented by a gold twisted rope around the outer portion of the setting.
The center diamond is four prong set with an approximate .75 CWT of clean diamonds and measures 4 mm round. There are 10 sapphires surrounding the diamond, each measuring 2.30 mm. Each sapphire is prong mounted. At intervals on the surface are an additional 12 matching sapphire stones. Prong set, they are mounted above the shank.
With approximately 2.49 cwt. of sapphire, the classic blue hue has an intensity in the 5 range with a strong saturation. Piece pops with rich blue color.
Circa late 1940's this ring is hallmarked 14k. The surface measurements are 7/8" across x 3/4" wide with a height of 1/2". This ring does sit perched on the finger.
In excellent condition, total item weight is 5.2 grams. In the photos you will notice the elaborate work in constructing the 14k yellow gold mounting. Currently a size 6, this ring can be re-sized. If you need it re-sized, please feel free to ask.
