Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring has such intense blue color. Fashioned in 18k white gold, the center stone is a princess cut and is four prong mounted. The setting of the ring is just as exquisite as that center stone. Open style mounting allows for great play of light. Diamonds dapple the top of the ring's setting.
The center stone is approximately 2.45 CWT with .30 CWT of brilliant cut diamonds. The ceylon sapphire measures 8.5mm x 7.50mm. Currently a size 6 1/2, it can easily be re-sized due to the nice, thick shank. Just ask if we can assist with sizing information.
The surface measurements are 3/8" by 3/4" across. Slight height of 1/8". Item weight is 8.5 grams.
Hallmarked 750 or 18k, this mid-century ring is in excellent condition. Comes to you professionally cleaned in a velvet presentation box. Free layaway financing is available. Thanks for your time today
Genuine sapphires, including Ceylon sapphires are part of the Corundum gem family and are second only to diamonds in hardness. This strength makes them an excellent choice of jewelry because of their durability.
Ceylon sapphires are mined primarily in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). The sapphires mined in Sri Lanka are known for the unique color they produce. Because Ceylon sapphires occur naturally, the color of the stone varies.
