Unusual 1940's necklace exhibits amazing lapidary craftsmanship. Intricately carved floral motif involving three large citrine stones is just amazing. These carved flowers are wired in place with 14k yellow gold and are multiple prong mounted. The open design setting allows for great play of light off of the stones. Lovely carved and faceted chalcedony drop dangles at the bottom.
The two top citrines measure 9 mm, have a depth of 5.50 mm and a combined weight of 6 CWT. The larger carved citrine is 12.30 mm, has a depth of 5.90 mm and is approximately 6 CWT. The chalcedony stone measures 26 mm x 12 .50 mm or around 1" x 1/2". That chalcedony is approximately 13 CWT.
One of the neat features of this necklace is the ability to wear it at either 16" or 18". There are two O rings on the thick chain so you can choose the length with a spring ring closure. The section of necklace involving the stones drops about 3". Item weight is 7 grams.
