Early Georg Jensen Blossom Serving SpoonEarly Georg Jensen Blossom Serving SpoonEarly Georg Jensen Blossom Serving SpoonEarly Georg Jensen Blossom Serving Spoon

An early and lovely Georg Jensen Blossom spoon. Blossom is one of Georg Jensen's loveliest and most desirable patterns. It is also the most demanding for his silversmiths to create, the costliest, and I think, the only period Art Nouveau silver pattern still in production. The blossom was designed by Jensen himself in 1905, a pure expression of his Art Nouveau aesthetic, and used on his famous teapot as a finial, but it was not until fourteen years later that he designed a full line of cutlery in the Blossom pattern.

CONDITION is grand with only normal wear. This spoon bears the Danish Assay Master Mark of Christian F. Heise (1904 - 1932), and one of the earliest Jensen Hallmarks used between 1915 and 1919 which also tells us that this piece is 830 silver (83% pure silver). Measures 7" in length, with the bowl measuring 2 1/16" x 3".

Perfect for a holiday table... and pretty enough to make any day a holiday. Treat yourself or someone special. Enjoy!
