This beautiful crystal perfume bottle was undoubtedly made by one of France's premier glass houses, likely Baccarat or St. Louis, and still retains it's original covered board case decorated with a small portrait print and that wonderful French metallic lace trim.
The glass has a finely ground bottom and a crisply faceted stopper that really gathers the light and seems to glow and sparkle. I'm not sure who is pictured in the tiny portrait in her large Victorian hat and curls, lace collar and cuffs, perhaps just a fashionable lady of the day.
Condition is great, with only the most minor rough spot on the shoulder of the bottle. The case is also in remarkably good condition with only the tiniest bit of wear on the corners and a little dust. The bottle and stopper measure 4 1/4" tall alone, and 4 11/16" tall when in the case. The footprint of the case measures 2 5/16" x 3 1/16".
A fabulous and uncommon vanity piece. For those of us who love these feminine vanity accessories, this one's a must have. Enjoy!
