Mappin and Webb - Cased Sterling Demitasse Spoons and Tongs - 1930 London - image 1 of 8

A fine Mappin & Webb Sterling Silver Demitasse Set in its original case, composed of six demitasse spoons with a matching pair of sugar tongs, made in London in 1930. Mappin & Webb currently holds Royal Warrants of Appointment to the Queen of England and the Prince of Wales.

CONDITION is excellent with no problems to the silver. The box shows some minor wear. I’ll be happy to wheel polish them for you if you like, just ask. The spoons measure 4 ¼” long, the tongs 3 ⅝” long, and the box measures 7 ¾” x 5 ½” x 1”. Weighs 11.8 oz.

Mappin & Webb has been one of Englands premier jewelers and silversmiths for more than 200 years, catering to the Queen of France Marie Antoinette, the last Czar of Russia Nicholas II, Winston Churchill, Charles Dickens, Harry Houdini, Grace Kelly, and now you should you choose to make this lovely set yours. Enjoy!
