A haunting depiction of the 9-11 attack on The World Trade Center in NYC. The twin towers are shown in flames, engulfed in smoke with eerie faces throughout. An agonizing image that truly revisits the horror of that day. The red white and blue banner winding through the piece bears the words "For Here We Fall - But In The Spirit - We Stand."

I purchased this piece at a local auction where the artist had consigned it. The auctioneer has told me that there is much more work by this artist. I know that as more of these pieces come to the market this body of outsider work will find an eager audience and be recognized as extraordinary. Ink and graphite on paper, signed lower right in the drawing.

CONDITION is as shown. The white paper drawing is cut out and applied to a larger piece of what looks to be slightly heavier paper. The piece was framed by the artist in a frame that does not fit it in the horizontal dimension, and the frame shows some wear. Measures 19 ¼” x 24 ⅞” overall. The paper is exactly 24" wide, and about 19" high give or take.

All in all, this drawing exhibits the appealing quirks of a first rate piece of Outsider Art. The compulsive drive to express the inexpressible through art is palpable. It is an eerie, powerful piece.
